TrendeeTech (registered as Hangzhou Wanxi Technology Co., Ltd., "we", "us", or "our")
respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the data of our merchants. This
Privacy Policy describes how data is collected, used, shared, and protected when you
install or use the Trendee Agentic Sales
app (the "App") in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
1. Information the App Collects
To provide the App’s core functionalities—specifically Generative Engine
Optimization (GEO) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for your products—we access
store data through Shopify's APIs and collect configurations directly from you.
⚡
A. Information Collected via Shopify APIs
When you authorize and install the App, we automatically access specific types
of data from your Shopify account:
-
Store Information: Basic details about your store, including
store domain (e.g.,
your-store.myshopify.com), store name, email
address, country, and currency. This is used to authenticate your account,
manage billing, and communicate with you.
-
Product and Catalog Data: We access product titles, HTML
descriptions, product tags, product handles, image URLs, variants, and
collection titles. We also write and modify product metafields and metaobject
definitions (specifically via the
write_products,
write_metaobjects, and
write_metaobject_definitions access scopes). This information is
strictly required to perform semantic analysis and generate optimized content.
👤
B. Information Collected Directly from You
We collect additional configuration data and system logs that you generate while
using our app interface:
-
App Configuration Settings: Any preferences, custom prompt
rules, selected AI models, or settings you configure within the App's user
interface.
-
Diagnostic & Usage Logs: We automatically generate system
logs (such as error reports, API call response statuses, and usage metrics)
when you use the App. This helps us ensure application security, stability,
and identify areas for product improvement.
-
Support Communications: If you contact us for customer
support or feedback, we collect your email address and any information you
choose to provide in your message.
✕
C. Information We DO NOT Collect
We value transparency and follow a data-minimization approach. We explicitly do
not collect:
-
Customer / Buyer Personal Data (PII): We
do not collect, store, or process any Personally Identifiable
Information (PII) of your store's customers (such as customer names, physical
addresses, phone numbers, emails, or payment details).
-
Store Order or Sales Data: We do not read, process, or store
your shop’s order history, transactional data, or financial statistics.
-
Storefront Tracking / Cookies on Buyers: The App is a backend
admin integration and does not place cookies, web beacons, or tracking pixels
on your buyer-facing storefront. We do not track buyer behavior or navigation.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to provide, maintain, and improve the App's
features:
-
Content Generation & Optimization: We use your product catalog
information to extract semantic data, utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) to
optimize your content (restructure titles, refine HTML descriptions, generate
SEO/GEO meta tags and URL handles), and write this optimized content back to your
Shopify store.
-
Authentication and Session Management: We use store credentials
to verify your identity and maintain a secure connection to your Shopify API.
-
Customer Support: To respond to your questions, troubleshooting
requests, and issues.
-
System Integrity & Debugging: To monitor application logs,
prevent abuse, and fix technical bugs.
We do not sell your store or product data to third parties, nor do we use it for
advertising purposes unrelated to your store.
3. Sharing Your Information
A. Third-Party AI Subprocessors
To generate optimized content, the App sends your
Product and Catalog Data (excluding any customer or personal
data, as we do not collect any) to third-party Large Language Model (LLM) service
providers, such as OpenAI.
These third-party processors are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Specifically, we configure these API integrations so that
your store data is NOT used to train public models or for any
purpose other than executing the specific generation requests initiated by the
App.
B. Compliance with Laws and Legal Requests
We may share your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to
respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we
receive, or to protect our rights and the safety of our systems.
4. Data Transfer (For EEA/UK Merchants)
Hangzhou Wanxi Technology Co., Ltd. is established outside the European Economic
Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK), in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.
Your store information and product data may be transferred to, and processed in,
servers located in the United States, Singapore, or other regions where our cloud
hosting providers operate. We ensure that any such international transfers of
personal data are protected by appropriate legal safeguards, such as Shopify's
standard data processing terms and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to maintain
GDPR and UK GDPR compliance.
5. Data Retention and Shopify Mandatory Webhooks
A. Data Retention Policy
-
Active Installation: We retain your store authentication
credentials and configuration settings in our database for as long as the App
remains installed on your Shopify store.
-
Uninstallation: If you uninstall the App, we will purge/delete
your store authentication keys, app settings, and cached data from our active
databases within 48 hours.
B. Shopify Mandatory Privacy Webhooks
We fully support and comply with Shopify’s Mandatory Privacy Webhooks under GDPR and
CCPA. Even though the App does not process buyer personal data, we handle the
following webhooks to support merchant and buyer data rights:
customers/data_request
If a customer requests their data from your store, Shopify sends a webhook to
our server. We will automatically respond confirming that we do not store any
buyer personal data.
customers/redact
If a customer requests data deletion, we receive this webhook. We will
automatically respond confirming that we hold no buyer data.
shop/redact
When you uninstall the App or delete your store, Shopify triggers this webhook.
Upon receipt, we permanently delete all stored database entries related to your
store within 48 hours.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the EU, UK, or California), you may have
rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about
you (primarily your store contact email and settings). If you wish to exercise these
rights, please contact us using the information below.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our
operational, legal, or regulatory practices. We will notify you of any material
changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where
appropriate, posting a notification inside the App admin panel.
